Huntington Beach boasts one of the best dog beaches in California, and one of the few dog friendly beaches where dogs are allowed to run free of a leash.

Dog Beach is over one mile of pooch-paradise, where canines go to “unleash” hours worth of running, playing, swimming, digging, barking, sunbathing and, often times, even surfing!

You don’t have to have four legs to enjoy Dog Beach. Visitors often choose to visit HB's Dog Beach just to witness the sometimes hilarious displays of tennis-ball chasing, hole-digging, water-frolicking and general “dogs being dogs” behavior.

The city maintains cleanup of the sand and shoreline, and the beach is considered one of the cleanest and safest dog beaches in California.
